Cookie & Local Storage Notice
NineBox keeps cookies boring — on purpose. We use only strictly necessary storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, which is why you will never see a consent banner from us.
What we store on your device
| Item | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Cookie, HttpOnly | Keeps you signed in while you use NineBox. | Session only — removed when you log out or close your browser. |
talentLang | localStorage | Remembers your language preference. | Until you clear your browser storage. |
| UI state | localStorage | Small conveniences such as returning to your last opened room. | Until you clear your browser storage. |
That is the complete list. Because every item above is strictly necessary for the service to function, no consent is required under ePrivacy rules — and nothing is used to profile you or follow you across other websites.
What we never use
- No analytics or statistics cookies or scripts.
- No advertising or retargeting cookies, pixels or SDKs.
- No cross-site or cross-device tracking of any kind.
The Paddle checkout page
Payments are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. When you check out, Paddle may set its own strictly necessary cookies to run the checkout and prevent fraud. These belong to Paddle, not to NineBox — see Paddle’s privacy policy for details.
How to clear or control storage
You can delete the session cookie at any time by logging out. Your browser settings (“Cookies and site data”) let you block cookies or clear localStorage for our site. Clearing localStorage simply resets your language and UI preferences to their defaults — the app keeps working, and room data on our servers is unaffected. For what we store on our side and for how long, see the Privacy Policy.
Changes and contact
If this notice ever changes, we will update the date above. Questions? Email privacy@ninebox.app (our ninebox.app domain is launching shortly; the mailbox goes live with it). See also our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Data Processing Addendum.
